Mothers of the Sweet, Sweet Southeastern Region,
It is hard to believe the summer is over and we are beginning to execute and enjoy our planned activities of the year. As your National Treasurer, I implore you to always be mindful of our 501(C4) tax designation as you receive and expend funds in your communities. We are a children’s organization and our activities should reflect that. In your discussions with organizations and the general public, please be clear with them and let them know that their donations to our organizations are not tax deductible. Always exercise integrity and fiscal responsibility in your financial matters. Your National Executive Board is working hard to set goals that insure accountability, transparency and fiscal responsibility. Please know that my door is always open to answer questions, discuss concerns or just talk. I always enjoy sharing with you.
You should have received the Fall Mailer by now with forms and instructions to complete your Per Capita requirements. Please insure that the information on your members is correct in the MIS system. Your Chapter Administrators must update your chapter records so that your member information is accurate. We will be mailing our membership cards to new members and the ‘2007-2008’ sticker to members that received their membership cards last year. If you did not receive this card, that means we do not have your correct information in the system.

October 31st - Deadline for receipt of Regional and National Per Capita; and Bonding Fees (Late penalty applies)
January 31st - Deadline for submission of Legacy Requests
May 31st - Deadline for receipt of New Member Joining and Headquarters Fee
May 15th - Deadline for Foundation contributions to Regional Secretary/Treasurers
June 1st - Deadline for Foundation contributions from Regional Secretary/Treasurers to National Treasurer
June 15th - Chapter Officers and Contact Reports Due to Headquarters and Per Capita for New Members to Headquarters
June 30th - End of Year Chapter Reports Due (late penalty applies)
August 31st - Annual Audit Reports Due
