South Central Regional Membership Questions & Answers

 

The entire family benefits through a mother's membership in Jack and Jill. Monthly activities involve the member's children.  Family events are planned throughout the years and through the Father's Auxiliary, as fathers provide programs and hands-on support to the membership. 

 

How do I become a member?

Membership is through sponsorship at the local chapter level or through legacy status. The legacy application is due to the local chapter president by January 15. Prospective candidates must have a child or children between the ages of 2 and 19 years. 

 

When is membership intake?

Membership intake process begins in March of each year with initiation in May.


What is expected of members?
 

Members are expected to support the aims of the organization at the regional, national and local level, to carry out its programs and activities, and to maintain fiduciary integrity.

What happens at the local level?
 

Children are divided into age groups where age-appropriate activities are carried out monthly which are educational, civic, cultural, recreational and/or social in orientation. Family programs occur throughout the year as well.


How can I find out about a chapter in my area? 

The South Central Region’s chapters are listed on this web page. If there is not a chapter in your area and you wish to organize a group of 15 mothers (minimum) to start an "interest" group, please contact the Regional Director.
