Regional Associate Chair
Greetings to the Associates of the Mighty Mid-Western Region! I am so proud to represent you again this year!
My goals this year will be to continue to include building strong Associate Chapters, getting accurate Associate accounting on the MIS system and installing more Associate Chapters. As Associates, we must support our local Jack and Jill chapters and foster friendships and service in our community.
Congratulations to Sandra Townsend, Regional Director, Kimberley Will, Regional Secretary/Treasurer, Debra Hairston, Member-At-Large for the Foundation, and the Regional Team for the excellent execution of the Michigan/Ohio and Illinois Area Clusters. Along with the Greater Lansing and Indianapolis Chapters, respectively, both clusters were very successful! We know that under their leadership, our Mid-Western Region will continue to prosper and grow.
I would also like to congratulate our new Indianapolis Associate group (Karla Weathersby, Gail Barrett, Cynthia Desadier, Annette Henderson, Marchusa Huff, Angelis Mason, Rosie Hicks, and Rosemary Bickham) on their installation at the Illinois Area Cluster. It was a lovely and beautiful event. I continue to encourage other chapters who are interested in establishing an Associate group to contact me. It would be my honor to install more interested groups in our Region.
I continue to encourage you to become Associate Life members. Life members can pay a one-time regional and national membership fee based upon their years of service to the organization. Once you pay your life membership fee (national and regional) you never have to pay per capita dues again. Life Membership continues to be the most cost effective method of continuing active service to Jack and Jill.
Please mark your calendar for the Regional Teen Conference to be held in Cincinnati, Ohio from June 26-29, and the 38th Biennial National Conference to be held in Miami, Florida from July 23-27. Mothers and Associates are actively planning to make these events successful. I hope you will consider attending the National Conference and all the special events that are created for the Associates.
