Greetings to my Associates of the Mighty Eastern Region:
It gives me great pleasure to serve as your Eastern Region Associate Chair. I am so excited that I have this opportunity to continue in this capacity with Jack and Jill of America, Inc. We must always remember that our organization was founded on improving the quality of life for all children. As associates we can continue to make this happen while maintaining the friendships we acquired over the years as being a member of our local chapter.
My goals:
Increase the membership for Associates and the number of Associate chapters
- Ensure Associates participate in the “Mothers Away- from-Home” project
- Support local chapter programs as well as chapter fundraisers
- Serve as chapter mentors
- Encourage all Associates to become Regional and Life members
- Ensure Associates provide financial support to Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Foundation
- Encourage Associates to attend clusters, the regional conference and the national convention
Each chapter in the region should have an Associate chair or Liaison. There are still some chapters in our region that have not completed this requirement. Add “The Formation of an Associates Group” to your 2006-07 priority list. In the meantime, I look forward to hearing from all chapters and mothers who have graduated or will graduate soon.
I intend to keep the enthusiasm alive as I work with all Associates of the Eastern Region. Associates work hard and have fun. We need you as we move forward with, “Empowering our Youth to Excel through Leadership and Service in our Communities.”
Let’s continue to make a difference in the lives of all children and the communities we serve.
I am interested in the activities that our Associates are doing. Please submit the information for our newsletter, “Associate News from the East.” Look for my winter mailing with all the activities and information on the “Associates Roundup.”
There is information on the National website pertaining to life, national and regional fees; also, the Mothers Away-From-Home Project. This is our National Project that was voted on at the Houston Convention, please review the material and mail your form to me.
